Dr. Doug Crotty comes from a family of Optometric Physicians. Both his father and older brother practice Optometry in his hometown of Auburn Nebraska. He graduated from the University of Nebraska (GO BIG RED!) in 1975 and moved out west to attend Pacific University. He obtained his Doctor of Optometry degree in 1979, and joined the staff of Corvallis Vision Center in 1982 where he specializes in contact lens fitting, vision therapy, and general practice. Dr. Crotty is also licensed to use therapeutic and diagnostic pharmaceuticals.
Dr. Crotty enjoys being outdoors and has climbed most of the major peaks in the northwest including Mt. St. Helens when it was 1500 feet taller! He is also a talented singer and musician having performed in several musical productions over the years including The Fantastics, Rigoletto, and Anything Goes. His wife Laurie and children Erin, Brenna, and Michael enjoy living in the country and they have a large garden and orchard which keeps them both healthy and busy.
